New at Disneyland is an epic exhibition of themed displays that takes you behind-the-scenes of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Encounter your favorite characters and view film props, screen videos and themed areas! You’ll get an up-close look at actual props from Lucasfilm as well as authentic replicas created specifically for Star Wars Launch Bay. Plus, you’ll want to explore the Cantina and other settings inspired by Star Wars. You will also get to see an exclusive documentary investigating whether there’s a real-life Force. Best of all, you’ll get to have amazing character encounters and share a furry embrace with Chewbacca, Han Solo’s trusty sidekick or even come face-to-face with Darth Vader, or encounter Kylo Ren. Blast off on a thrilling tour of the Star Wars galaxy! One of the best Star Wars attractions in all of Disneyland is Star Tours where you can make the jump to hyperspace as you ride aboard a 3D, motion-simulated space flight aboard a Starspeeder 1000. This amazing ride features state-of-the-art technology with audio-animatronics characters and “in-cockpit” special effects and music.
You’ll start your experience by pre-boarding inside of a bustling Star Tours spaceport, amid a throng of projection screens and glowing scanners. Plus, you’ll get to see R2-D2 and C-3PO as you wait to board your Starspeeder 1000. You’ll weave through customs and the baggage screening to pick up a pair of 3D flight glasses. With your flight glasses ready, you’ll continue to your departure gate and board your Starspeeder. As you prepare for lift-off, a series of disasters inadvertently causes your starship to launch. C-3PO will take control and take your ship on an unpredictable flight that will rocket you to the farthest reaches of the galaxy and into the clutches of the First Order forces. You will experience an epic adventure where you’ll come face-to-face with Kylo Ren, Poe Dameron, BB-8 and other characters as fly through worlds like Jakku and Crait, new planets from Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
This is just a taste of what is in store, in 2019, the Star Wars experience at Disneyland Park will make the jump to hyperspace with the addition of a new land – Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge! This 14-acre land will be the largest single-themed expansion ever added to a Disney theme park.
